The oboist Christos Tsogias-Razakov (1993) studied oboe with internationally renowned oboe soloists such as Alexei Ogrintchouk, Karel Schoofs, and Ron Tijhuis (Cor Anglais). He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague (University of the Arts, The Hague, c.1682). The postgraduate studies were supported during 2018-2020 by the Public Benefit Foundation Alexandros S. Onassis.

He has been distinguished from a young age, receiving the 1st prize in the 24th Panhellenic Wind Competition of the Thessaloniki Conservatory Alumni Association in 2008. In April 2014, he participated in the International Competition V Lietauras Vebra International Oboe Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania, winning the third prize. He has been accepted to the prestigious V Barbirolli International Festival & Competition (2020/2021) in the UK because to pandemic never took place.

He graduated from the private high school  "Hellenic College of Thessaloniki" with a music scholarship in 2011. Then, he studied at the Ionian University with the oboist S. Kontos, where he graduated with excellence. From September 2013 to June 2014, through the European student exchange program Erasmus, studied oboe with Dr. Robertas Beinaris at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater in Vilnius.


He took part in numerous events and festivals. He collaborated with various orchestras like the Dutch Ballet Orchestra Amsterdam, the National Symphony Orchestra of Greece/ERT, the National Opera of Greece, the Dordrecht Chamber Orchestra, the Amsterdam Festival Orchestra, the Promenade Orchestra, etc. He participated in television and radio broadcasts of concerts/recordings (e.g. Klassiek op West - Radio West Concert, Aus Licht - broadcast: Arte TV).
 

He has been a member of the Greek-Turkish Youth Orchestra since 2017. In 2018 became a member of the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Antwerp Youth Symphony Orchestra in Belgium. In 2015, he was one of the founding members of the Catchpenny Ensemble, where were combined new compositions of contemporary music with audio-visual elements.

He has attended masterclasses by the distinguished: Maurice Bourgue, Heinz Holliger, Thomas Indermühle, Diethelm Jonas, Jacques Tys, Hansjörg Schellenberger, Omar Zoboli, Bart Schneemann, etc.

Christos Tsogias-Razakov was a member of the Athens Philharmonia Orchestra, since September 2020 (resigned March 2023). He gives lessons on the oboe and leads chamber music ensembles at various institutions. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Music Science and Art, School of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts, of the University of Macedonia, in Thessaloniki - Greece in collaboration with Ionian University, Corfu. Alongside, gives solo and chamber music concerts. Christos plays mainly with the Marigaux 901 oboe model.
